Elna Lotus, Stella and Elnita models
In comparison to a Singer featherweight sewing machine, the Elna Lotus or Stella zig zag models weigh less than 14 pounds with it's built in portable case. The straight stitch Singer featherweight weighs in at 19 pounds in it's case. All of the Lotus machines have zig zag stitches and most have additional built in stitches. Add Swiss Elna quality and you have a lightweight portable sewing machine that will outperform the featherweight.
The Elna Lotus and Stella and Elnita models are rapidly increasing in popularity and value. I will be updating prices regularly to reflect current market values. The price quoted today may change tomorrow.Remember, these are not the typical Ebay machines where "this machine has been serviced" can mean anything from "I put a few drops of oil in it" to "it was professionally serviced to factory specifications by an Elna factory trained service technician". Descriptions such as "Excellent condition, Mint, New or Like New" may not be what you expected and "actual shipping" may be $70.00 or more. The typical seller terms "I am not responsible for shipping damage." means your machine could arrive damaged from inexperienced packing methods and no carrier insurance will pay for damage caused by poor packaging . See Shipping. And, there is no warranty or even a guarantee you can recover your money if it never arrives. On the other hand, if you are shopping for price alone, and are willing to accept all the risks, ebay is definately the place to go for cheap sewing machines.
All sewing machines sold on this page will be serviced to original new factory specifications and guaranteed to sew as well, or better than new. Cosmetic defects will be disclosed and I will be happy to send detailed pictures before you buy. A 30 day warranty is included in the price. The shipping charge including experienced packing methods is stated up front. And YES, it is MY responsibility to pack your machine so it arrives without damage.
